Obsiidyn (formally Stephan Burse) is a captivating vocal artist originally from the Midwest, who has made the East Coast his home since 2013.
His rich musical background spans Gospel, Jazz, Classical, and Musical Theater, creating an emotional journey that invites listeners to become active participants.
Stephan is known for his vocal styling which is often showcased through an array of vocal techniques and dramatization of lyrics.
Obsiidyn has had the privilege of performing at a number of renowned venues including South Jazz Parlor, Chris’ Jazz, Minton’s Playhouse, Smalls Jazz Club, Ortlieb’s, The Mann Center, and The Kimmel Cultural Campus. Recently, Obsiidyn returned to theater after several years away; his credits include Don Claude Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tom Collins in Rent, Dragon in Shrek the Musical, Porgy in Porgy and Bess and Caterpillar in Alice By Heart.
