Jill Salkin is a Philadelphia-based singer and songwriter, who has released three

CDs.Her songwriting is a reflection of her influences from artists as different as

James Taylor and Steely Dan. Jill’s vocal stylings have been influenced by artists

such as Patti Austin, Anita Baker, Bonnie Raitt, and iconic singers such as Sarah

Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald.

Jill’s performing experience covers decades of singing in clubs in Philadelphia,

New York, Wilmington, South Jersey, and in Atlantic City casinos. Her warm

stage presence and patter add to her enjoyable repertoire of jazz, blues, groove,

classic pop, and original songs.

What the World Needs Now, Jill’s last CD, was re-released this year, with tracks

being played on many stations around the country, including in her home town,

on the internet, and on her Pandora channel. Jill recently received a glowing

review for this album in Jazz Weekly. She is delighted to be returning to the stage

at South.
